Towards the end of the classic airhead period - the R75/7 offered the greatest compromise between power and economy. In addition to excellent fuel efficiency (each tank provides over 250 miles of riding) the R75/7 was design with a comfortable riding position and well-dampened, long-travel suspension. For these reasons American and British markets were as crazy about the R75 series then as they still are today.

This bike runs and starts very well. The 750cc motor and 5-speed gear box have all of the industrial strength and reliability expected from a BMW. It is fitted with a luggage rack and Krauser bags that open, shut, and detach with ease. The Corbin saddle is very comfortable for both rider and passenger.

The needles have fallen out of place in each gauge cluster and the fuel tank has been lined with a sealer that now seems to peel in spots. Odometer shows 68,121 miles. All in all, this bike is a steady runner that will carry you and your luggage miles with comfort and ease.
